Founded by the Life Mission Lakulish International Fellowship Trust, this pioneering institution is India's first university dedicated exclusively to yoga sciences, holistic wellness, yogic philosophy, and traditional Indian wellness systems. Spread across a serene campus designed with yogic architecture and tranquil surroundings on S.G. Highway, the university holds approvals from UGC and recognition for its specialized focus on yoga education. The university offers specialized programs including B.Sc. (Yoga Science, Naturopathy & Yoga), BBA (Yoga Management), B.A. (Yogic Sciences), M.Sc. (Yoga Therapy, Applied Yoga, Clinical Yoga), MBA (Wellness Management), M.A. (Yoga Philosophy, Vedic Studies), M.Phil., Ph.D. in yoga sciences and yogic philosophy, Diploma and Certificate courses in yoga teacher training, therapeutic yoga, prenatal yoga, yoga for special needs, Ayurveda integration, meditation techniques, and wellness counseling. Lakulish Yoga University, Ahmedabad, was established in 2013 under the Gujarat Private Universities Act and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is India’s first university dedicated exclusively to yoga education, research, and training. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctoral programs in Yoga, Naturopathy, Spiritual Studies, and Allied Health Sciences. Admissions are conducted through CUET UG/PG, merit-based selection, and personal interviews depending on the program. Eligibility requires 10+2 with science or arts background for UG courses and graduation in relevant disciplines for PG programs. Fee highlights show that UG programs cost between ₹30,000–₹60,000 per year, while PG programs range between ₹40,000–₹80,000 per year, making it an affordable choice for specialized yoga education.
