Lovely Professional University (LPU), located on the Jalandhar–Delhi G.T. Road near Phagwara in District Kapurthala, Punjab, is one of India’s largest private universities. Established in 2005, it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by AICTE, PCI, COA, BCI, and NCTE. LPU has also earned NAAC A++ accreditation, reflecting its high academic standards and quality infrastructure.
The university offers more than 150 programs at diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels across diverse disciplines such as Engineering, Management, Law, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Design, Media, and Liberal Arts. Admissions Open 2026: Courses, Eligibility & Fees
Lovely Professional University (LPU), Phagwara, was established in 2005 under the Punjab State Legislature and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is one of India’s largest private universities, approved by AICTE, PCI, BCI, COA, and NCTE, offering more than 300 programs across disciplines such as Engineering, Management, Law, Pharmacy, Architecture, Arts, Commerce, Design, and Medical Sciences. Admissions are conducted through LPUNEST (LPU National Entrance and Scholarship Test), CUET UG/PG, JEE Main (for B.Tech), NEET (for MBBS, BDS, and allied health programs), CLAT (for Law), CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT (for MBA), and merit-based selection depending on the program. Eligibility requires 10+2 with relevant subjects for UG courses and graduation in relevant disciplines for PG programs. Fee highlights show that UG programs cost between ₹1,00,000–₹2,50,000 per year, while PG programs range between ₹1,50,000–₹3,00,000 per year, with scholarships significantly reducing costs for meritorious students.

LPU provides extensive financial support through LPUNEST scholarships, government schemes (SC/ST/OBC, minority, EWS), and institutional merit-based concessions. Scholarships are awarded based on academic performance, entrance exam scores, sports achievements, and extracurricular excellence. Fee waivers are extended to economically weaker sections, while special scholarships are available for girls, differently-abled students, and achievers in innovation or cultural activities. On average, 40–50% of students benefit from scholarships or financial assistance annually, making LPU accessible to a wide range of learners.

The highest package offered has been in the range of ₹3 crore per annum (international placement), while the average package stands at ₹5–7 LPA, reflecting consistent opportunities.
