Maharaja Bir Bikram University (MBBU), established in 2017, is a state government university located in Agartala, Tripura. Named after Maharaja Bir Bikram Manikya Bahadur, the visionary ruler of Tripura, the university was set up to expand higher education opportunities in the state. It is recognized by the UGC and affiliated with the Government of Tripura.
