Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), located on Dabwali Road in Lal Singh Nagar, Bathinda, Punjab, is a state technical university established in 2015 by the Government of Punjab. It was created to expand access to technical and professional education in the Malwa region of Punjab and is named in honor of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, the legendary Sikh ruler. The university is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by AICTE.
MRSPTU serves as an affiliating university for numerous engineering, pharmacy, management, and architecture colleges across Punjab. It offers diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in disciplines such as Engineering, Applied Sciences, Pharmacy, Management, and Humanities. Admissions are conducted through national-level entrance exams like JEE Main, GATE, and GPAT, along with merit-based selection for other programs.
