Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (MSU), established in 1949, is one of India's most prestigious state government universities located at Maharaja Fatehsinghrao Gaekwad Road, Fatehgunj, Vadodara - 390002, Gujarat. Founded by Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III, the visionary ruler of erstwhile Baroda State, this historic institution represents his progressive vision of universal education and social reform. Spread across 275+ acres of beautifully landscaped campus with heritage buildings and modern facilities, the university holds approvals from UGC, NAAC (A+ Grade accredited), AICTE, NCTE, BCI, PCI, COA, and numerous statutory bodies. The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (MSU), Vadodara, was established in 1949 and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is one of Gujarat’s premier public universities, offering undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctoral programs across disciplines such as Arts, Science, Commerce, Fine Arts, Law, Education, Medicine, Pharmacy, and Technology. Admissions are conducted through CUET UG/PG, NEET (for Medicine), JEE Main (for Engineering), CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT (for MBA), and merit-based selection depending on the program. Eligibility requires 10+2 with relevant subjects for UG courses and graduation in relevant disciplines for PG programs. Fee highlights show that UG programs cost between ₹15,000–₹40,000 per year, while PG programs range between ₹20,000–₹60,000 per year, making MSU one of the most affordable public universities in western India.

MSU provides financial support through government scholarships (SC/ST/OBC, minority, EWS) and institutional merit-based concessions. Fee waivers are extended to economically weaker sections, while merit scholarships are awarded to top-performing students in CUET, JEE, NEET, CAT, and board exams.
