Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur, established in 1999, is a state government university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur, was established in 1999 by the Government of Rajasthan and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is a specialized state university focusing on agriculture, dairy science, fisheries, food technology, engineering, and allied sciences. MPUAT affiliates several colleges across southern Rajasthan, including the College of Technology and Engineering, College of Dairy & Food Science Technology, College of Fisheries, and College of Agriculture. Admissions are conducted through ICAR AIEEA, JEE Main (for engineering), state-level entrance exams, CUET UG/PG, and merit-based selection depending on the program. Eligibility requires 10+2 with PCB/PCM for UG courses and graduation in relevant disciplines for PG programs. MPUAT provides financial support through ICAR scholarships, government scholarships (SC/ST/OBC, minority, EWS), and institutional merit-based concessions. Fee waivers are extended to economically weaker sections, while merit scholarships are awarded to top-performing students in ICAR AIEEA, JEE, CUET, and board exams. Special scholarships are also available for girls, differently-abled students, and achievers in agriculture, fisheries, or rural development projects. On average, 30–35% of students benefit from scholarships or financial assistance annually, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility.
