Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University (MDSU), Ajmer, established in 1987, is a state government university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctoral programs across disciplines such as Science, Arts, Commerce, Education, Law, Management, and Social Sciences. Admissions are conducted through CUET UG/PG, Rajasthan PTET (for B.Ed), state-level entrance exams, and merit-based selection depending on the program. Eligibility requires 10+2 with relevant subjects for UG courses and graduation in relevant disciplines for PG programs. MDSU provides financial support through government scholarships (SC/ST/OBC, minority, EWS) and institutional merit-based concessions. Fee waivers are extended to economically weaker sections, while merit scholarships are awarded to top-performing students in CUET, PTET, and board exams. Special scholarships are also available for girls, differently-abled students, and achievers in sports or cultural activities.
