Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University (MJPRU), Bareilly (Uttar Pradesh) is a prominent state university established in 1975 under the U.P. Universities Act. Originally founded as Rohilkhand University, it was renamed in honor of social reformer Mahatma Jyotiba Phule. The institution is recognized by the UGC, accredited with a NAAC A++ grade, and functions under the Chancellor, the Governor of Uttar Pradesh. The current Vice-Chancellor is Prof. Krishna Pal Singh.
MJPRU affiliates more than 587 colleges across Bareilly and nearby districts, serving over 550,000 students. It offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctoral programs in disciplines such as engineering, management, law, education, science, arts, and commerce.
