Majuli University of Culture, located at Patharichuk N.C., Majuli, Assam, is a state public university established in 2017 by the Government of Assam. It is the first university in India dedicated exclusively to the study, preservation, and promotion of cultural heritage, performing arts, and indigenous traditions, reflecting the rich legacy of Majuli—the world’s largest river island and a hub of Neo-Vaishnavite culture founded by Srimanta Sankaradeva.
