Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU), Udaipur, established in 1962, is a state government university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Formerly known as Udaipur University, it was renamed in honor of politician Mohanlal Sukhadia and has grown into one of the leading higher education institutions in southern Rajasthan.
MLSU offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctoral programs across disciplines such as Arts, Science, Commerce, Law, Education, and Management. Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU), Udaipur, was established in 1962 as a state public university and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is accredited with an ‘A’ grade by NAAC and offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctoral programs in disciplines such as Commerce, Management, Law, Pharmacy, Education, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Natural Sciences. Admissions are conducted through CUET UG/PG, JEE Main (for engineering programs offered through affiliated colleges), NEET (for pharmacy and allied health), CAT/MAT/CMAT (for MBA), and merit-based selection depending on the program. Eligibility requires 10+2 with relevant subjects for UG courses and graduation in relevant disciplines for PG programs. Fees are affordable compared to private universities, with UG programs ranging between ₹15,000–₹40,000 per year and PG programs between ₹20,000–₹60,000 per year, making MLSU accessible to students across Rajasthan and India.

Mohanlal Sukhadia University supports students through government scholarships (SC/ST/OBC, minority, EWS) and institutional merit-based concessions. Fee waivers are extended to economically weaker sections, while merit scholarships are awarded to top-performing students in CUET, JEE, NEET, CAT, and board exams.
