National Law University Odisha (NLUO), located at Kathajodi Campus in Sector 13, Cuttack, is a premier public law university established in 2008 under the National Law University Odisha Act (Act 4 of 2008) by the Odisha State Legislature. It began academic operations in 2009 and has since grown into one of India’s leading institutions for legal education. The university is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI), with NAAC accreditation reflecting its commitment to quality education. NLUO offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in law, including five-year integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and BBA LL.B. (Hons.), three-year LL.B., LL.M., and Ph.D. programs. Admissions are conducted through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), ensuring a transparent and merit-based process.
