About
NICMAR University of Construction Studies, located at Survey Nos. 371–384, 389, and 390 of Jaggamguda, Shamirpet, P.O. Aliabad, Medchal–Malkajgiri District, Hyderabad, Telangana, is a specialized private university dedicated to construction, infrastructure, and project management education. It was established in 2021 under the Telangana State Private Universities Act, evolving from the legacy of the National Institute of Construction Management and Research (NICMAR), which has been a premier institution in construction education since 1983.
The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs focused on construction management, project engineering, real estate, infrastructure development, and allied disciplines. NICMAR University of Construction Studies, Hyderabad was established in 1999 as a leading campus of the National Institute of Construction Management and Research (NICMAR). It is recognized by the UGC and approved as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by the Government of India. The university offers MBA, M.Tech, PG Diploma, and doctoral programs in construction management, infrastructure, real estate, and project engineering. Admissions are based on national entrance exams such as GATE, CAT/MAT, GMAT, and CUET, along with the university’s own NICMAR Common Admission Test (NCAT) followed by interviews. Eligibility requires 10+2 with 50% marks for UG programs, a bachelor’s degree for PG programs, and postgraduation with 55% marks for Ph.D. programs. Fees range between ₹5.1–₹12.1 lakhs for PG programs, depending on specialization.
