About
The National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM), located in Kundli, Sonipat, Haryana, is a government institute and deemed-to-be university of national importance under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), Government of India. Established in 2011, it is dedicated to education, research, and entrepreneurship in the food technology and processing sector.

Admissions Open 2026: Courses, Eligibility & Fees
NIFTEM Sonipat was established in 2012 under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries and is recognized as an Institute of National Importance. It offers B.Tech in Food Technology and Management, M.Tech in Food Technology specializations, MBA in Food and Agribusiness Management, and Ph.D. programs. Admissions to B.Tech programs are through JEE Main followed by JoSAA/CSAB counseling, while M.Tech admissions require GATE scores. MBA admissions are based on CAT/MAT/CMAT scores plus GD/PI, and Ph.D. admissions are through the university’s entrance test and interview. Fees are moderate, with B.Tech costing around ₹1.5–₹1.8 lakhs per year, while PG programs range between ₹80,000–₹1.2 lakhs annually.

The NIFTEM campus is located in Sonipat, Haryana, spread across 100 acres with modern infrastructure.
