Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT), located at Surya Nagar in Bhubaneswar, is a public state university established in 1962 by the then Chief Minister Biju Patnaik. It is the second-oldest agricultural university in India and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Veterinary Council of India (VCI), AICTE, and NAAC. OUAT was created to strengthen agricultural education, research, and extension services in Odisha, and it has since grown into one of the country’s leading agricultural institutions.
