Pacific Medical University (PMU), Udaipur was established in 2014 under the Pacific Medical University Act passed by the Government of Rajasthan. It is recognized by the UGC and approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI), Dental Council of India (DCI), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), and other statutory bodies. The university offers programs in Medicine (MBBS, MD/MS), Dentistry (BDS, MDS), Nursing, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Paramedical Sciences, and Allied Health Sciences. Admissions are conducted through NEET UG (for MBBS/BDS), NEET PG (for MD/MS/MDS), GPAT (for Pharmacy), and merit in qualifying examinations for Nursing and Paramedical courses. Eligibility requires 10+2 with PCB for medical and allied health programs, a bachelor’s degree for PG programs, and postgraduation with 55% marks for Ph.D. programs. Fees are premium compared to public institutions, with MBBS programs costing ₹12–15 lakhs annually, while Nursing and Pharmacy programs range between ₹80,000–₹1.5 lakhs per year.
