About Puducherry Technological University
Puducherry Technological University (PTU), located at Pillaichavady in Puducherry, is the first state public technological university of the Union Territory. Established in 2020 by upgrading the former Pondicherry Engineering College (PEC), PTU was created with the vision of advancing technical education, research, and innovation in the region. Recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by AICTE, the university serves as a hub for engineering and technology studies in South India.
