Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (RAJUVAS), Bikaner, was established in 2010 by the Government of Rajasthan as a state public university dedicated to veterinary and animal sciences. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI). The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctoral programs in disciplines such as Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Technology, Fisheries, and Livestock Management. Admissions are conducted through NEET UG (for B.V.Sc. & A.H.), ICAR entrance exams, and merit-based selection depending on the program. Eligibility requires 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology for veterinary courses and graduation in relevant disciplines for PG programs. Fees are affordable compared to private institutions, with B.V.Sc. programs around ₹50,000–₹70,000 per year and PG programs between ₹60,000–₹1,00,000 per year.

RAJUVAS supports students through government scholarships (SC/ST/OBC, minority, EWS) and institutional merit-based concessions. Fee waivers are extended to economically weaker sections, while merit scholarships are awarded to top-performing students in NEET UG, ICAR exams, and board results.
