Ranchi University, Ranchi, was established in 1960 as a state public university and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Jharkhand, offering undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctoral programs in disciplines such as Arts, Commerce, Science, Law, Medicine, and Education. Admissions are conducted through CUET UG/PG, NEET (for medical programs), CLAT (for law), and merit-based selection depending on the program. Eligibility requires 10+2 with relevant subjects for UG courses and graduation in relevant disciplines for PG programs.
