Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU), popularly known as Nagpur University, was established on 4th August 1923 by the Government of Central Provinces Education Department Edufever and is one of India's oldest and most distinguished public State Universities. Renamed in 2005 to honour the revered saint, poet, and social reformer Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj, the university is a member of both the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU).
