Sardar Patel University, located near Saheed Chowk at Nana Bazar in Vallabh Vidyanagar, Anand District, Gujarat, is one of the oldest and most respected universities in the state. Established in 1955 by an Act of the Legislative Assembly of Bombay State, it was named after India’s “Iron Man,” Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, to honor his vision of education and nation-building. The university is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited by NAAC, serving as a key center of higher learning in central Gujarat.
