Shiv Nadar University, Chennai (SNU Chennai), located at Kalavakkam on Rajiv Gandhi Salai (OMR), is a private university established in 2018 and formally launched in October 2020. It is the second university set up by the Shiv Nadar Foundation, following Shiv Nadar University in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh. Notably, it is the first private university legislated in Tamil Nadu in nine decades, marking a significant milestone in the state’s higher education landscape. SNU Chennai offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs across disciplines such as Engineering, Commerce, Humanities, and Data Science, with a strong emphasis on multidisciplinary learning, research, and innovation.
