Shivaji University (SUK), established on 18th November 1962 and inaugurated by Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, the then President of India, is a premier State Government (Public) University located at Vidyanagar, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, named in honour of the great Maratha warrior-king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
