About Sikkim National Law University
Sikkim National Law University (SNLU), located at the Sikkim Government Law College campus in Burtuk, Gangtok, is a premier institution dedicated to legal education in the Himalayan region. It was established in 2018 under Act No. 5 of 2018 by the Government of Sikkim and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act. As part of India’s network of National Law Universities (NLUs), SNLU aims to provide top-quality legal education of national-level excellence.
The university offers integrated undergraduate law programs (BA LL.B, BBA LL.B), postgraduate programs (LL.M), and doctoral research opportunities (Ph.D.).
