Sri Sri Aniruddhdeva Sports University (SSASU), with its administrative office at the DICC Building, 2nd Floor, Chabua, near District Library in Dibrugarh, Assam, is a specialized state public university established in 2020 by the Government of Assam. It is named after the revered spiritual leader and social reformer Sri Sri Aniruddhdeva, reflecting his values of discipline, service, and holistic development. SSASU is dedicated exclusively to sports education, training, and research, making it one of the very few universities in India with a focused mandate on sports sciences and athletic excellence. The university offers programs at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels, in areas such as Physical Education, Sports Coaching, Exercise Physiology, Sports Psychology, Sports Management, and Allied Health Sciences related to sports.
