About Tamilnadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University
Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University (TNDALU), located at Poompozhil, 5 Dr. D.G.S. Dinakaran Salai, Raja Annamalai Puram, Chennai – 600028, is a state public university established in 1997 by the Government of Tamil Nadu under Act No. 43 of 1997. It was founded with the objective of promoting legal education, research, and professional training in the state.
TNDALU is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI). It affiliates all law colleges in Tamil Nadu, ensuring uniform standards of legal education across the state. The university offers programs at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels, including LL.B., LL.M., Ph.D., and diploma courses in specialized areas of law.
The Chennai campus houses academic departments, libraries, moot court halls, and research centers, providing students with both theoretical knowledge and practical exposure.
