TeamLease Skills University (TLSU), located on the Tarsali–Vadodara Road near the Tarsali Bypass in Vadodara, Gujarat, is India’s first skills university, established in 2013 under a public–private partnership with the Government of Gujarat and sponsored by the TeamLease Education Foundation. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited by NAAC. The university was founded with the vision of “Putting India to Work” by integrating vocational training, apprenticeships, and academic education. TLSU offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and certification programs across diverse fields such as Commerce and Management, Hospitality, Information Technology, Mechatronics, and Healthcare. Its unique pedagogy emphasizes “learning by doing” and “learning by earning,” with students gaining practical experience through apprenticeships under the National Employability Through Apprenticeship Program (NETAP). Admissions are merit-based, with skill-oriented criteria depending on the program. The Vadodara campus is equipped with modern infrastructure including classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and industry-linked training facilities. TLSU has trained over 1.6 lakh learners and has strong placement support, with collaborations across industries to ensure employability.
