Admissions Open 2026: Courses, Eligibility & Fees
Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (TIET), Patiala, was established in 1956 and is recognized as a Deemed-to-be University by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is one of India’s most prestigious engineering institutions, offering undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in disciplines such as Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Biotechnology, Management, and Humanities. Admissions are conducted through JEE Main, CUET, GATE, CAT, and merit-based selection, depending on the program. Eligibility requires 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for UG engineering programs and graduation in relevant fields for PG programs. The admission process includes online applications, counseling rounds, and interviews for doctoral programs. Fees are structured competitively, with UG programs ranging between ₹2,00,000–₹3,00,000 per year and PG programs between ₹2,50,000–₹3,50,000 per year, while doctoral programs are supported by fellowships.
