The Assam Kaziranga University (KU), located in Jorhat, Assam, is a prominent private university established in 2012 under the Assam Kaziranga University Act, 2012. The Assam Kaziranga University, Jorhat, was established in 2012 under the Assam Kaziranga University Act and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is one of the leading private universities in Northeast India, offering undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctoral programs across disciplines such as Engineering, Management, Commerce, Computer Science, Pharmacy, Nursing, Applied Sciences, and Social Sciences. Admissions are conducted through CUET UG/PG, JEE Main, GATE, CAT, MAT, and merit-based selection, depending on the program. Eligibility requires 10+2 with relevant subjects for UG programs and graduation in related fields for PG programs. The admission process includes online applications, counseling rounds, and interviews for doctoral programs. Fees are structured to be affordable compared to other private universities, with UG programs ranging between ₹70,000–₹1,50,000 per year and PG programs between ₹90,000–₹2,00,000 per year, while professional programs such as pharmacy and engineering may cost higher.
