The University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad (UAS Dharwad), located in Dharwad, Karnataka, was established in 1986 by the Government of Karnataka. It is a public state university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). UAS Dharwad was founded to strengthen agricultural education, research, and extension services in northern Karnataka, and has since become one of the leading agricultural universities in India.
