The University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Mandya, was established in 2013 after being carved out of UAS Bengaluru to cater specifically to the agricultural needs of the southern districts of Karnataka. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctoral programs in disciplines such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Sericulture, Agricultural Engineering, Food Technology, and Forestry. Admissions to UG programs are conducted through the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET), while PG and Ph.D. admissions are based on university entrance exams and merit lists. Eligibility requires 10+2 with PCB/PCM for UG programs, graduation in agriculture or allied sciences for PG programs, and a master’s degree for doctoral studies.
