About University of Horticultural Sciences
The University of Horticultural Sciences, Bagalkot (UHS Bagalkot), located near Semikeri Cross, Udyanagiri, Navanagar, Bagalkot, Karnataka, was established in 2008 by the Government of Karnataka. It is a public state university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The institution was founded to strengthen horticultural education, research, and extension services in the state, with a focus on fruit crops, vegetables, medicinal plants, and floriculture.
The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctoral programs in Horticulture and allied sciences. The campus is equipped with classrooms, laboratories, libraries, hostels, experimental farms, and specialized research centers.
