University of Ladakh, established in 2019, is a prominent state government university located at Melongthang, Leh-Ladakh - 194101 (Near Fire & Fury Corps, FRL). Founded by the Union Territory Administration of Ladakh following Ladakh's reorganization as a Union Territory, this institution emerged from the bifurcation of University of Kashmir's Ladakh campus. Spread across a developing campus with modern infrastructure amidst the breathtaking Himalayan terrain, the university holds approvals from UGC, NAAC, and operates with campuses in both Leh and Kargil districts. The University of Ladakh is committed to providing quality higher education, promoting research in Himalayan studies, preserving Ladakhi culture and heritage, and empowering the youth of Ladakh through accessible and relevant academic programs tailored to the region's unique needs.The university offers comprehensive programs including B.A., B.Sc., B.Com, B.C.A., B.B.A., B.Tech (Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Electronics), MBA, M.A., M.Sc., M.Com, M.C.A., M.Tech, B.Ed., M.Ed., PG Diploma courses, and research programs (M.Phil., Ph.D.) across arts, science, commerce, engineering, management, education, Buddhist studies, and Himalayan ecology.
