University of Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE), located at K.R. Circle, Dr. Ambedkar Veedhi, Bengaluru, was established in 1917 by Sir M. Visvesvaraya, the legendary engineer and statesman. It is one of the oldest engineering institutions in India and is a public state university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
