U.P. Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU), Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) is a state open university established in 1999 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Located at Shantipuram (Sector-F), Phaphamau, Prayagraj (Allahabad – 211013), the institution is recognized by the UGC and named after the renowned freedom fighter and educationist Rajarshi Purushottam Das Tandon.
UPRTOU was founded with the vision of providing flexible, accessible, and affordable higher education to learners who cannot pursue traditional full-time programs.
