A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU), located at CET Campus, Alathara Road, Ambady Nagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, was established in 2014 by the Government of Kerala. It is a public state university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Named after Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, India’s former President and renowned scientist, the university was founded to unify and strengthen technical education across Kerala.
KTU affiliates more than 150 engineering colleges in the state and offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctoral programs in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, and Management. The CET campus is equipped with classrooms, laboratories, libraries, hostels, and research centers. The university emphasizes innovation, entrepreneurship, and industry collaboration, preparing students for careers in engineering, IT, manufacturing, and academia. KTU is known for its standardized curriculum, digital learning initiatives, and strong placement support. Scholarships are available for meritorious and economically disadvantaged students.
