Delhi Teachers University (DeTU), established in 2022 by the Government of NCT of Delhi, is a state university located at P-625 & 745, Outram Lane, New Delhi. Recognized by the UGC under Section 2(f) and approved by NCTE and NAAC, it is dedicated exclusively to teacher education and leadership development.
The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in education, leadership, policy, and allied fields, with a strong focus on both pre-service and in-service teacher training. Admissions Open 2026: Courses, Eligibility & Fees
Delhi Teachers University (DTU), New Delhi, was established in 2022 by the Government of NCT of Delhi and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is India’s first dedicated university focused exclusively on teacher education, training, and research. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctoral programs in Education, Teacher Training, Curriculum Development, Educational Technology, and Pedagogy. Admissions are conducted through CUET UG/PG, B.Ed entrance exams, and merit-based selection, depending on the program. Eligibility requires 10+2 for UG programs, graduation in relevant fields for PG programs, and a master’s degree for doctoral studies. Fee structures are affordable, with B.Ed programs costing around ₹30,000–₹50,000 annually and M.Ed programs between ₹40,000–₹70,000 per year, making DTU accessible to aspiring teachers across India.
