Desh Bhagat University (DBU), located in Village Saunti, Tehsil Amloh, District Fatehgarh Sahib near Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab, is a private university established in 2012 under The Desh Bhagat University Act, 2012 (Punjab Act No. 15 of 2013). It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and affiliated with AIU, PCI, COA, BCI, INC, AICTE, and the Punjab Nurses Registration Council. The university was founded under the guidance of S. Lal Singh, a freedom fighter and associate of Subhas Chandra Bose, and is named to honor the spirit of national service.
