Admissions Open 2026: Courses, Eligibility & Fees
Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, was established in 1920 and became a Central University in 1988 under an Act of Parliament. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited with an ‘A++’ grade by NAAC. JMI offers a wide range of programs in Engineering, Law, Management, Humanities, Social Sciences, Education, Fine Arts, Architecture, and Doctoral research. Admissions are conducted through CUET UG/PG, JEE Main, NEET, CLAT, CAT, and university-level entrance exams depending on the program. Eligibility requires 10+2 with relevant subjects for undergraduate courses and graduation in relevant disciplines for postgraduate programs. The admission process involves online application, entrance exam or merit list evaluation, counseling, and document verification. Fee highlights show that UG programs cost between ₹10,000–₹40,000 per year, while PG programs range between ₹15,000–₹60,000 per year, making JMI one of the most affordable central universities in India.
