Admissions Open 2026: Courses, Eligibility & Fees
Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, was established in 1969 under an Act of Parliament and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is accredited with an ‘A++’ grade by NAAC and consistently ranked among India’s top universities. JNU offers programs in Arts, Social Sciences, International Studies, Language, Science, Computer Applications, Engineering, and Doctoral research. Admissions are conducted through CUET UG/PG, JEE, GATE, NET, and university-level entrance exams depending on the program. Eligibility requires 10+2 with relevant subjects for undergraduate courses and graduation in relevant disciplines for postgraduate programs. JNU provides financial support through government scholarships (SC/ST/OBC, minority, EWS) and institutional merit-based concessions. Fee waivers are extended to economically weaker sections, while merit scholarships are awarded to top-performing students in CUET, JEE, NET, and board exams. Special scholarships are also available for minority students, women, and differently-abled learners.
