Rama Devi Women’s University, located at Vidya Vihar in Bhoi Nagar, Bhubaneswar, is the first women’s university in Odisha. Established in 2015 by upgrading Rama Devi Women’s College (founded in 1964), the institution was named after Rama Devi Choudhury, the eminent freedom fighter and social reformer known as Maa Rama Devi. The university is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited by NAAC, reflecting its commitment to quality education and empowerment of women. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs across disciplines such as Arts, Science, and Commerce, with a strong emphasis on women’s education, leadership, and research.
